I föreliggande studie undersöks hur ett undervisningsupplägg baserat på flipped classroom påverkar resultatet i en matematikklass på det naturvetenskapliga programmet, samt hur eleverna förhåller sig till ett sådant undervisningsupplägg.Klassen undervisades av samma lärare, men med olika undervisningsupplägg, i tre olika matematikkurser: Traditionell undervisning med klassrumsbaserade genomgångar i Ma 1c; inverterad undervisning i Ma 2c där eleverna före lektionstillfället tog del av en videogenomgång, för att frigöra tid för uppgiftslösning i klassrummet; inverterad undervisning i Ma 3c med tillägget att man i klassrummet använde sig av undervisnings­verktyget Peer instruction.En enkät gjordes angående elevernas attityder till de olika undervisningsuppläggen. Vidare gjordes en jämförelse av klassens resultat på de nationella proven med resultaten i riket, samt med resultaten för en elevgrupp som undervisats traditionellt.Enkätsvaren visar att eleverna var mycket nöjda med flipped classroom, och att majoriteten ansåg att de lärde sig mer med flipped-classroom-baserad undervisning än med traditionell undervisning. Detta gäller elever på alla betygs­nivåer; elever med såväl som utan tillgång till matematik­hjälp hemma; pojkar såväl flickor. Elevernas inställning till Peer instruction var mera splittrad.Jämförelsen av resultat på de nationella proven visar en tydlig nedgång i elevernas prestation mellan Ma 1c och Ma 3c. Den största delen av nedgången skedde mellan Ma 1c och Ma 2c, dvs.

The aim of this study is to investigate oral peer review on argumentative speech and to study the attitudes towards this peer review. The investigation was performed in an up-per secondary school class, and it focused on the different types of oral responses students give each other. In addition, the study investigated in what way the students experience this type of peer review. The results show that students reflect on form and performance as well as content, but they place more emphasis on form and performance than content. Students are positive about peer review and its importance for their progress.

An increasing number of applications are becoming more or less network based today.The traditional architecture for network based applications is client-server, but as usageof download services are going up, so is the Peer-to-Peer architecture. This report is acomparison between the Peer-to-Peer and client-server model, and can serve as a basiswhen a decision between them needs to be taken. In the report, the performancebetween the different architectures is compared in different contexts. Our basis is ageneral implementation of both architectures in a test that is derived from a previousreport. On top of this, the performance of the different architectures are measured,implemented in a gaming-context.

Mass distribution with techniques as multicast and peer-to-peer are becoming increasingly important in the Internet. Today the distribution of sound and video over Internet, so called streaming media, is static due to the unicast method. This results in a linear increase of distribution costs and therefore no conditions for commercial scalability. This thesis describes why multicast may be the only scalable alternative for commercial mass distribution of streaming media over Internet. Mass distribution through peer-to-peer technology promises a lot but is fronting a couple of great challenges, for example asymmetric bandwidth, locality and legalization.

This thesis aims to investigate if peer-groups based on industry classification perform as well as, or better than, peer-groups based on other measures that represent factors affecting the price-to-earnings multiple. In contrast with previous empirical studies, a solid theoretical approach is used in defining which factors, according to valuation theory, affect the P/E-ratio. The factors identified as explanatory are accounting measures, risk and growth. Furthermore, we have recognized several measures that represent these factors. These measures are tested for accuracy of prediction in terms of the P/E-ratio for peer-groups based on these measures relative to an industry classified peer-group.

Abstrakt: Den illegala fildelningen har blivit ett omdiskuterat ämne runt om i världen sedan fildelningstjänsten Napster skapades av unge Shawn Fanning. På senare år har flera nya fildelningstekniker utvecklas och upphovsrättskyddat material delas ut och laddas ner av hundratusentals tals personer runt om i Sverige. Syftet med rapporten är att ge en beskrivning av tekniker och lagar som tillämpas inom illegal fildelning. Samt att beskriva olika aktörer som figurerar inom den illegala fildelningen och vilka åtgärder de tillämpar för att fortsätta och skydda sin verksamhet..

I denna litteraturstudie har synen på konflikthantering och speciellt elevledd konflikthantering belysts ur ett sociokulturellt perspektiv. I forskningen som undersökts belyses flera metoder som baseras på peer mediation, något vars pedagogiska implikationer lyser med sin frånvaro i den svenska skoldebatten. Denna systematiska litteraturstudie belyser internationell forskning kring elevledd konflikhantering och diskuterar sedan detta i relation till det svenska skolsystemet. Efter närmare granskning av internationell forskning kring peer mediation framkommer både risker och positiva resultat. Speciellt i elevers förhållningssätt och långsiktiga strategier till konflikthantering ser vi något som potentiellt kan gynnas av peer mediation..

Therefore, the purpose of the study to investigate whether and in what ways some pedagogues experiences and practice offers the individualized instruction that the governing documents require. The study is based on a qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interviews and observations with four experienced pedagogues. I have been using Piaget's theory of the concrete material's importance for learning and also Vygotsky's theory of the proximal development zone. The results showed that pedagogues understand the importance of individualized instruction.

This report is about helping Q-Med AB in Uppsala to start its implementation of uncertainty of measurements analyses in their manufacturing department. Prior to this, the company relied solely on personal experience or did not take this uncertainty into consideration at all during different kind of measurements, which means that some of the processes that the company previously believed were within specified acceptance limits, will actually fail when considering these sources of uncertainties.Q-Med AB needed some sort of instruction to help the company, in a systematic way, to investigate different types of disorders that are affecting all kinds of measurements. This instruction includes a short summary about measurements and uncertainty of measurements in general and a detailed procedure about how these uncertainties are going to be handled in their daily work.The goal was to be able to use this instruction to systematically locate, eliminate (when possible) and analyze all kinds of disorders when measuring. Q-Med is using a lot of different types of instruments when measuring different types of quantities, including temperature, mass, pressure and density. This instruction will hereafter be used for every instrument, regardless of quantity and type of instrument.The instruction is tested through 4 different kinds of measurements, for mass, temperature and humidity.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka effekter två olika läsförståelsemodeller, Reciprocal Teaching och Transactional Strategies Instruction, har på elevers läsförståelse. Den metod som användes i studien var kvalitativ textanalys som applicerades på 7 forskningsartiklar. Resultatet visar att modellerna gett effekt, i olika åldrar, länder och grupper. Detta resultat visar att Reciprocal Teaching och Transactional Strategies Instruction är effektiva modeller att arbeta med för läsförståelseutveckling..
